PSG held, Bordeaux break Lille hearts

Paris Saint-Germain FC moved a point clear at the top of Ligue 1 after a goalless draw at OGC Nice that contrasted with FC Girondins de Bordeaux's 5-4 win at LOSC Lille Métropole.

Paris Saint-Germain FC moved a point clear in France after a frustrating 0-0 draw at OGC Nice which could hardly have contrasted more with the high drama of FC Girondins de Bordeaux's last-gasp 5-4 triumph at LOSC Lille Métropole.

Nenê and substitute Guillaume Hoarau enjoyed the best of PSG's chances, but there was no way through for the capital side, who failed to win for the first time under coach Carlo Ancelotti. While Nice remain third from bottom, PSG are back on top ahead of next Sunday's meeting with second-placed Montpellier Hérault SC at the Parc des Princes.

Champions Lille lie 11 points off the summit, meanwhile, after they suffered heartbreak against Bordeaux. Trailing 4-1 with an hour gone, the northerners clawed their way back onto level terms when Nolan Roux hit a last-minute equaliser, but former Lille midfielder Ludovic Obraniak notched his second goal of the match in added time to seal victory for Bordeaux.

In the late kick-off AS Saint-Étienne moved above Toulouse FC and into seventh courtesy of a 1-0 win against Alain Casanova's side, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring the only goal with 19 minutes remaining.
