AS Monaco FC came from behind to prevent Paris Saint-Germain breaking away at the top of Ligue 1 as the duel between the leading pair ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
A win for the capital side would have sent them eight points clear at the summit, and it looked like they were well on their way when Javier Pastore turned in Alex's header at the back post following a corner after just eight minutes.
With Salvatore Sirigu in fine form in the PSG goal, it appeared that Monaco's chances of getting back into the game were fading. However, with 74 minutes on the clock, Thiago Silva turned Fabinho's low cross past his own keeper to earn the hosts a share of the spoils.
Earlier in the day, Olympique Lyonnais returned to winning ways with a 2-1 success at FC Nantes that boosted their hopes of European qualification. Alexandre Lacazette put the visitors ahead on 40 minutes and Bafétimbi Gomis notched from the penalty spot with 14 minutes remaining to double the advantage.
Filip Djordjević pulled one back for the home side, before seeing red late on, as Lyon closed within four points of fourth-placed AS Saint-Étienne. Elsewhere, FC Girondins de Bordeaux's match with FC Lorient was called off due to bad weather.
