Salomon Kalou struck in added time to hand LOSC Lille a 1-0 win against EA Guingamp and strengthen his side's grip on France's third and final UEFA Champions League berth.
LOSC struggled to apply pressure to their visitors and almost fell behind in the second half when Vincent Enyeama denied Mustapha Yatabaré, with Simon Kjær later intercepting on the line after Christophe Mandanne had rounded the home goalkeeper. It was Les Dogues who delivered the telling blow, however, Kalou kneeing the ball into the net after Marko Baša had flicked on a corner two minutes into added time.
The victory lifted René Girard's men within six points of second-placed AS Monaco FC and maintained their three-point cushion to AS Saint-Étienne, who won 2-1 at fifth-placed Olympique Lyonnais in an important Rhone derby.
Mevlüt Erdinç put Les Verts ahead from close range in the 28th minute, but the lead lasted just 11 minutes before Alexandre Lacazette volleyed in a smart equaliser. With 16 minutes remaining, Max Gradel pounced after Anthony Lopes had spilled a Renaud Cohade cross to leave Lyon's hopes of a top-three finish in serious doubt.
Elsewhere, Stade Rennais FC climbed eight points clear of the relegation zone by seeing off SC Bastia 3-0.
