Schalke snap up Jendrišek

Slovakian international striker Erik Jendrišek has agreed a summer move from 1. FC Kaiserslautern to 2010/11 UEFA Champions League contenders FC Schalke 04.

FC Schalke 04 have signed 1. FC Kaiserslautern striker Erik Jendrišek for next season.

The 23-year-old Slovakian international, who is hoping to make an impression for his country at this summer's 2010 FIFA World Cup, has scored 14 goals for the second division leaders so far this season and has signed a three-year deal with Schalke, who trail FC Bayern München on goal difference but are already sure of a place in next season's UEFA Champions League group stage. Additionally, the Royal Blues have given 19-year-old reserve goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall a contract until 2012.
