Germany 3-1 Bosnia and Herzegovina
A goal from captain Philipp Lahm and two Bastian Schweinsteiger penalties proved enough as Germany came from behind to win their final friendly before the FIFA World Cup.

Germany, who leave for South Africa this weekend, fell behind to a goal from VfL Wolfsburg striker Edin Džeko, who finished top scorer in the Bundesliga this season. However, Joachim Löw's side rallied in the second half and emerged victorious thanks to Lahm's fine finish and two spot kicks converted by vice-captain Schweinsteiger.

Indeed, they almost took an early lead but Lukas Podolski's shot from the edge of the penalty area struck the woodwork. Germany were punished after quarter of an hour when Lahm's attempted clearance rebounded off Džeko's chest and looped over keeper Manuel Neuer.

The FC Bayern München full-back made amends five minutes after half-time, though, receiving the ball midway inside the Bosnia and Herzegovina half before advancing forward and unleashing a rocket of a shot into the top corner via the bar.

Cacau's effort barely 60 seconds later came back off the woodwork but Germany did take the lead 16 minutes from time, Schweinsteiger doing the necessary from the spot after Sanel Jahić had fouled Marko Marin. The Bayern midfielder repeated the trick three minutes later after Emir Spahić's infringement on Thomas Müller.

It was Germany's third friendly win in a row after victories against Malta and Hungary, leaving Löw's squad in good shape ahead of their Group D opener against Australia on 13 June.
