Borussia Dortmund are showing no sign of letting up as they moved on to 50 points from 20 matches with their 16th victory of the campaign at VfL Wolfsburg.
It took Jürgen Klopp's men, who are 11 points clear at the summit, two minutes to hit their stride, Lucas Barrios striking his ninth league goal of the season. Nuri Şahin (40) and Mats Hummels (71) completed the misery for the hosts, who have mustered just league one win in ten matches.
FC Bayern München leapfrogged Hannover 96 into third place thanks to a 3-1 success at SV Werder Bremen. The champions had to come from behind, though, after Per Mertesacker gave the hosts the lead (47). Unfortunately for the Germany defender, he also scored at the other end (76) after Arjen Robben had levelled (65) and before Miroslav Klose applied the coup de grace (86).
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim ended their six-match sequence without a league win with a 1-0 victory against FC Schalke 04, courtesy of Isaac Vorsah's early effort (4). There were also successes for 1. FSV Mainz 05, 1. FC Nürnberg and lowly FC St Pauli, who were 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0 winners against 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Hamburger SV and 1. FC Köln respectively.
