Sevilla FC have bolstered their squad ahead of next season's UEFA Europa League campaign by bringing in attacking midfielders Piotr Trochowski and Manu from Hamburger SV and Getafe CF respectively.
A German international on 35 occasions, the Polish-born Trochowski has agreed terms on a four-year deal at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuan having completed his previous contract with Hamburg. The 27-year-old UEFA EURO 2008 runner-up scored 20 goals in his 180 appearances for the Rothosen, whom he joined from FC Bayern München in 2005.
Manu, meanwhile, admitted he had "completed a dream" after agreeing a reported €5m switch to what he described as "one of the Liga's big teams". The former Club Atlético de Madrid and RC Recreativo de Huelva player – who will pen a five-year deal with Sevilla – netted 37 goals in 159 Liga games over five seasons for Getafe, where he played both in an advanced central midfield position as well as on either flank.
