Borussia Dortmund arrested a run of three Bundesliga games without a win courtesy of a commanding 3-1 triumph at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
The visitors struggled to find their rhythm in the opening exchanges until artful midfielder Mario Götze took receipt of Moritz Leitner's intelligent pass and finished unerringly past goalkeeper Koen Casteels. Rather than press home their advantage, however, Dortmund retreated into their shell and paid the price when Hoffenheim striker Sven Schipplock finished off a sweeping team move.
Jürgen Klopp's team wrested back the initiative after the break and retook the lead when Kevin Grosskreutz steered in Marco Reus' centre. Robert Lewandowski's exquisite chip on 66 minutes made sure of victory and lifted Dortmund into third, 12 points behind runaway leaders FC Bayern München.
Elsewhere, 1. FC Nürnberg were on course for a first away victory since September at SV Werder Bremen when Timo Gebhart struck on 82 minutes. However, the home side drew level two minutes from time courtesy of Nils Petersen.
