Bayern stretch lead as Dortmund slip up

Record-breaking FC Bayern München opened up a four-point gap at the Bundesliga summit thanks to a 3-0 victory over FC Augsburg and Borussia Dortmund's defeat at VfL Wolfsburg.

FC Bayern München are four points clear at the Bundesliga summit thanks to their victory over FC Augsburg and Borussia Dortmund's defeat at VfL Wolfsburg.

Jérôme Boateng and Franck Ribéry gave the holders a 2-0 lead at the break and Thomas Müller completed the scoring with a last-minute penalty, mean in Bayern have broken Hamburger SV's Bundesliga record by going 37 league games unbeaten.

Fellow UEFA Champions League contenders Dortmund slipped to their second defeat of the campaign at Wolfsburg. Marco Reus gave Jürgen Klopp's charges the lead but Ricardo Rodriguez and Ivica Olić turned it around in the second half to lift Wolfsburg into fourth.

Elsewhere, Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Son Heung-Min scored a hat-trick as the Werkself put five past Hamburger SV to join second-placed Dortmund on 28 points. FC Schalke 04 scored twice in the final five minutes to secure a comeback triumph against SV Werder Bremen and Hertha BSC Berlin picked up their first away win of the season at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
