Giorgos Georgiadis will lead PAOK FC through the end-of-season play-offs in Greece after the club parted company with Giorgos Donis.
Donis, who took over at PAOK last summer after three seasons with Atromitos FC, departs in the wake of Saturday's 2-0 Greek Cup semi-final loss to Asteras Tripolis FC. The 43-year-old led the Salonika outfit to second in the regular Super League season, but PAOK have opted to cut ties.
Technical director Georgiadis, who was a right-winger in Greece's UEFA EURO 2004-winning squad, will take the reins for the play-offs. The 41-year-old is a former PAOK player. Scheduled to begin on 15 May, the play-offs will decide which teams finish second, third, fourth and fifth – the European spots. Olympiacos FC have already clinched the title.
