Defender Christos Kontis has returned to Panionios GS on a six-month contract after he was released by Olympiakos Piraeus FC earlier this week.
Having already spent the 1999/00 campaign with Panionios, the 27-year-old has agreed a deal until the end of the season with his old club with the option of a further two years at the Gipedo Neas Smirnis stadium.
Kontis started his career in the Alpha Ethniki with Ethnikos Piraeus, where he played from July 1995 until June 1999. He then moved to Panionios before being taken on by Olympiakos in July 2000.
