Digozis has put pen to paper on a one-and-a-half year contract despite interest from another Alpha Ethniki side, Akratitos FC. "I had almost signed for Akratitos, but then the offer came in from Aris and I couldn't refuse," the 29-year-old said.
Digozis arrives as a replacement for Petros Passalis, who will miss the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury. His previous clubs include FC Kavala and OFI Crete FC. Also joining Aris, meanwhile, is midfield player Magnus Selander, a 33-year-old free agent. Aris lie sixth in the first division table. Akratitos, by contrast, are 15th, one place off the bottom.
