Proodeftiki FC duo Alekos Tatsis and Tassos Pantos have agreed to join Olympiakos Piraeus FC when their contracts expire at the end of the season. Both players signed contracts with the reigning Greek champions on Monday.
Pride in the shirt
Striker Tatsis put pen to paper on a five-year deal which will bring him to the Gipedo Rizoupolis for two seasons with the option of a three-year extension. "I had offers from various clubs but once Olympiakos came on to the scene, I stopped looking at other proposals," the 24-year-old former PAS Giannina FC player said. "It will be an honour to wear the Olympiakos shirt." Tatsis has scored five times in the Greek top flight this term, his last goal coming against Olympiakos last month.
Simply the best
Midfielder Pantos, meanwhile, has signed up for two years with the option of another two seasons. The 27-year-old, who is in his fifth campaign at Proodeftiki, said: "Olympiakos are the best team in Greece." Tatsis and Pantos will link up with former Proodeftiki team-mate Thymios Koulouheris in Piraeus. The young defender moved to Olympiakos in January.
