Hungarian champions Debreceni VSC have signed Macedonian striker Georgi Hristov on a four-year deal. He has played for his country 47 times, scoring 17 goals, and spent last season at Scottish club Dunfermline Athletic FC but appeared in just eight league games.
UEFA Cup ambition
Hristov, who was a free agent, will be ineligible for Debrecen's UEFA Cup first round tie against FC Shakhtar Donetsk, but could be registered should the Hungarian outfit progress to the last 32 of the competition next spring. The 29-year-old started his career at FK Partizan, before going on to play for Barnsley FC in England and Dutch sides NEC Nijmegen and FC Zwolle.
