The Football Association of Iceland (KSI) have named Alfred Finnbogason as their Player of the Year, with Dóra María Lárusdóttir taking the women's award at their end-of-season event.
Finnbogason finished joint top scorer with 14 goals in the league for Breidablik, who won the title on goal difference from FH Hafnarfjördur in a thrilling finale to the season. The Young Player of the Year award the striker picked up last term has been passed to his team-mate Kristinn Steindórsson.
Valur Reykjavík players picked up both the women's awards as Lárusdóttir was voted the best in the league and Dagný Brynjarsdóttir the most promising. Ólafur Kristjánsson of Breidablik took the Coach of the Year honours, with Valur's Freyr Alexandersson claiming the women's equivalent.
The Team of the Year in Iceland was: Ingvar Kale (Breidablik), James Hurst (ÍBV Vestmannaeyjar), Jón Gudni Fjóluson (Fram Reykjavík), Elfar Freyr Helgason (Breidablik), Kristinn Jónsson (Breidablik), Baldur Sigurdsson (KR Reykjavík), Jökull Elísabetarson (Breidablik), Ólafur Páll Snorrason (FH Hafnarfjördur), Kristinn Steindórsson (Breidablik), Atli Björnsson (FH Hafnarfjördur), Alfred Finnbogason (Breidablik).
The women's Team of the Year was: María Björg Ágústsdóttir (Valur Reykjavík), Embla Sigrídur Grétarsdóttir (Valur Reykjavík), Katrín Jónsdóttir (Valur Reykjavík), Lidija Stojkanović (Fylkir), Thelma Bjork Einarsdóttir (Valur Reykjavík), Katie McCoy (Stjarnan), Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir (Breidablik), Dóra María Lárusdóttir (Valur Reykjavík), Hallbera Gudný Gísladóttir (Valur Reykjavík), Rakel Logadóttir (Valur Reykjavík), Mateja Zver (Thór/KA Akureyri).
