
Keflavík striker Gudmundur Steinarsson has been voted Iceland's Player of the Year at the annual KSÍ awards.

Steinarsson, 29, finished as the Urvalsdeild's top goalscorer with 16 strikes from 21 games for Keflavík as they finished runners-up in the league behind FH Hafnarfjördur. Valur Reykjavik's Dóra María Lárusdóttir was voted the country's outstanding female player, after the forward scored 15 goals in 17 games as her club defended their title. Keflavík's Kristján Gudmundson won the award for best men's coach while Valur co-coaches Elísabet Gunnarsdóttir and Freyr Alexandersson picked up the women's equivalent.
