AC Milan won 2-1 at SSC Napoli on Monday to make it four wins on the trot in Serie A and reclaim second place behind S.S. Lazio.
Lazio defeated Cagliari Calcio 2-1 yesterday to move on to 19 points, a club-record tally after nine games, yet Milan sit just two points behind the Roman side after their win tonight.
Robinho set the Rossoneri on the road to victory with a neat side-footed finish from Massimo Oddo's cutback after 22 minutes. Oddo had replaced Luca Antonini ten minutes earlier after the right-back was forced off following a clash of heads with Christian Maggio.
Napoli were reduced to ten men when Michele Pazienza was sent off at the end of the first half, and things got worse when Zlatan ibrahimović dived to head in another Oddo cross in the 71st minute. Ezequiel Lavezzi's 78th-minute reply, a neat lobbed finish over Christian Abbiati, failed to spark a home fightback and Napoli remain sixth.
