Chievo leave Inter with it all to do

FC Internazionale Milano are nine points adrift of the Serie A summit after losing 2-1 to AC Chievo Verona while Roberto Donadoni's first match at the Cagliari Calcio helm ended in victory.

FC Internazionale Milano's disappointing run of form continued with a 2-1 loss at AC Chievo Verona which leaves them nine points off the Serie A pace on a day when second-placed S.S. Lazio drew.

Sergio Pellissier and a strike from Davide Moscardelli rendered Samuel Eto'o's added-time effort a mere consolation for the Nerazzurri, who are winless in four league matches. There was also frustration for Lazio, the Biancocelesti falling behind to a goal from their former striker Hernán Crespo at Parma FC before Sergio Floccari (45) equalised.

Lazio lie three points shy of leaders AC Milan and two clear of SSC Napoli, who overcame Bologna FC 4-1 in Sunday's late kick-off to move into third place. Juventus are a point further behind after their 2-0 victory at Genoa CFC.

Giampaolo Pazzini, meanwhile, quadrupled his league goal tally for the season with a hat-trick for UC Sampdoria in a 3-2 defeat of US Lecce, who had Javier Chevantón (38) dismissed. Elsewhere, Roberto Donadoni's first match in charge of Cagliari Calcio ended in a 2-1 triumph at Brescia Calcio, ten-man Calcio Catania overcame AS Bari 1-0 and US Città di Palermo were 2-1 victors at AC Cesena.
