Serie A leaders AC Milan are five points clear at the Serie A summit despite being held to a goalless home draw by S.S. Lazio on Tuesday.
After an even first half in which neither side was able to create a clear opportunity, Milan went up a gear after the break. The closest they came to breaking the deadlock was six minutes into the second period, however, when Zlatan Ibrahimović's right-footed shot struck both posts of Fernando Muslera's goal.
Muslera was beaten once more with 21 minutes remaining, but centre-back Giuseppe Biava was on hand to block Robinho's effort and rescue his goalkeeper. The stalemate means Lazio remain seven points adrift in third, but second-placed SSC Napoli will move to within two of the Rossoneri should they win at AC Chievo Verona on Wednesday.
