A goal from Houssine Kharja on his first start for FC Internazionale Milano set the Nerazzurri on their way to a 3-0 victory at relegation-threatened AS Bari.
The Moroccan international, who joined on loan from Genoa CFC last week, exchanged passes with Samuel Eto'o on the left-hand side of the penalty area and placed a shot across goalkeeper Jean-François Gillet with 20 minutes remaining. That looked like being the decisive goal as the match entered its latter stages, but added-time efforts from Giampaolo Pazzini − his third in two matches for Inter − and Wesley Sneijder, after a cross was chested down by Kharja, gave the scoreline a more resounding look.
While Inter move above AS Roma and S.S. Lazio into third – seven points shy of leaders AC Milan with a game in hand – defeat leaves the Biancorossi rooted to the foot of Serie A, nine points from safety after a fifth successive defeat.
