Antonio Cassano scored his first goal for AC Milan and Robinho struck twice as the Rossoneri stretched their unbeaten sequence to eight league matches with a 4-0 win against Parma FC.
Clarence Seedorf had already seen a first-minute attempt repelled by Antonio Mirante before giving the hosts the lead on eight minutes, when he ran on to Zlatan Ibrahimović's through ball and rounded the goalkeeper. Winter signing Cassano opened his Milan account (17) following a deft one-two with Gennaro Gattuso, prior to Robinho, on as a replacement for Seedorf, striking his eighth and ninth league goals of the season (61, 65).
Milan remain three points clear of second-placed SSC Napoli, who completed the double over AS Roma in the late fixture. In an open, hard-fought encounter Edinson Cavani took his Serie A tally for the campaign to 20 with a 49th-minute penalty and a close-range strike seven minutes from time.
The result leaves the Giallorossi, who were unbeaten at the Stadio Olimpico in the league since 25 April last year, 13 points off the pace in seventh.
