Miroslav Klose was twice on target as S.S. Lazio won a five-goal thriller at US Lecce to move up to second in Serie A.
Klose struck to cancel out David Di Michele's penalty, and while Stefano Ferranio sored for Lecce to make it 2-2 after Lorik Cana's second-half effort had put Lazio in front, Klose's second goal of the evening three minutes from time decided the contest and took the Biancocelesti to within a point of Juventus, who visit AS Roma on Monday.
After back-to-back home defeats, the pressure was on FC Internazionale Milano to clinch only their fifth league victory of the season against ACF Fiorentina. They duly obliged, albeit with the help of two defensive lapses by the visitors, with Fiorentina old boy Giampaolo Pazzini and Yuto Nagatomo scoring either side of the interval to lift the Nerazzurri into the top half of the table.
Elsewhere, US Città di Palermo missed the chance to leapfrog SSC Napoli into fifth place after losing their 100% home record against AC Cesena, for whom Adrian Mutu scored the winner, while second-half strikes by Marco Rossi and Rodrigo Palacio handed Genoa CFC a 2-0 win against AC Siena.
