Juventus missed the chance to join AC Milan at the top of Serie A as they were held 1-1 at Bologna FC in one of three draws on Wednesday.
Three points adrift at kick-off of their game in hand, postponed from last month, Juventus fell behind on 17 minutes to a goal from their former striker Marco Di Vaio, running on to a ball from Gastón Ramírez. Mirko Vučinić's lob levelled just before the hour but with six minutes remaining Juve defender Leonardo Bonucci was sent off, coach Antonio Conte having also been earlier dismissed.
At the other end of the table, AC Cesena moved level at the bottom with Novara Calcio, playing most of the game with a man fewer but still drawing 0-0 against Calcio Catania. Parma FC picked up a point in their relegation fight, drawing 2-2 at home to ACF Fiorentina after Sebastien Giovinco converted an 87th-minute penalty.
