Sebastian Giovinco scored twice as Juventus maintained their winning start to the Serie A season by condemning ten-man Udinese Calcio to a comprehensive 4-1 defeat.
The hosts started on the back foot and their task became mountainous when goalkeeper Željko Brkić was sent off for bringing down Giovinco inside the penalty area. Arturo Vidal converted confidently from the spot, before Mirko Vučinić doubled the Bianconeri's lead with a sumptuous finish on the stroke of half-time.
Giovinco made it three seven minutes after the restart, and the diminutive forward set the seal on a commanding performance when he combined with Andrea Pirlo and unleashed an emphatic finish. Udinese did manage a late consolation, though, courtesy of Andrea Lazzari's debut strike.
Antonio Cassano grabbed his first goal for FC Internazionale Milano but it was not enough to prevent his old side AS Roma claiming a 3-1 win at San Siro. S.S. Lazio maintained their 100% start to the season, on the other hand, as Miroslav Klose twice found the net in a 3-0 home success against US Città di Palermo.
SSC Napoli also have two wins from two after they eased past ACF Fiorentina 2-1. UC Sampdoria condemned AC Siena to a second consecutive defeat, while Calcio Catania left it late to prevail 3-2 against Genoa CFC. Elsewhere, Cagliari Calcio missed two penalties in a 1-1 draw with Atalanta BC and Parma FC overcame AC Chievo Verona 2-0.
