A Francesco Totti-inspired AS Roma beat ACF Fiorentina 4-2 to leapfrog the Viola and city rivals S.S. Lazio into fourth place in Serie A.

The hosts' perfect start provided by Panagiotis Tachtsidis' first goal for the club was quickly wiped out by Facundo Roncaglia. However, a double from the evergreen Totti – the first a neat finish from a flicked first touch, the second a thunderbolt from distance – ensured a 3-1 half-time lead for the Giallorossi.
