The deadlock was not broken at the Stadio Renzo Barbera until shortly after half-time, when marauding Juve wing-back Stephan Lichtsteiner latched onto Mirko Vučinić's delightful back-heel and gave Samir Ujkani no chance with his finish. The Rosanero could not recover and had Michel Morganella dismissed with 15 minutes left after receiving two bookings in quick succession.

The Bianconeri are now four points ahead of Inter, who climbed up to second with a 2-1 defeat of Napoli at San Siro.
