After a solitary season with FC Internazionale Milano, Italy forward Antonio Cassano has joined Serie A rivals Parma FC.
Cassano, who last summer moved to Inter from city rivals AC Milan, will link up at Parma with his former national team coach Roberto Donadoni, who took the Azzurri to UEFA EURO 2008. Parma confirmed the news via a statement on their official website. "Parma FC announce with satisfaction the signing of Antonio Cassano and officially welcome the player into the 'yellow and blue family'." No further details about the transfer have been revealed.
Cassano made 37 appearances during his sole campaign with the Nerazzurri. He also lists AS Bari, AS Roma and Real Madrid CF among his former clubs. The 30-year-old has won 35 caps for his country and scored ten goals. He was diagnosed with a heart defect towards the end of 2011 but returned to action in time to earn a place in Italy's UEFA EURO 2012 squad.
