Modena FC will be without striker Andrea Fabbrini for at least a month after the player suffered a knee injury.
The 28-year-old underwent a scan today which confirmed he had sustained cartilage damage in his left knee. Fabbrini will be operated on on Tuesday.
The powerful forward, nicknamed the 'Bull of Pinerolo', has made 20 league appearances this term, scoring once. Fabbrini is in his third season at the Alberto Braglia stadium and was instrumental in his side's promotion to Serie A last year, scoring 16 goals. Modena are currently 12th in Serie A with 30 points, four clear of the relegation zone.
