FC Twente striker Blaise Nkufo will join Major League Soccer outfit Seattle Sounders FC on a free transfer after representing Switzerland at the FIFA World Cup finals. The 34-year-old, whose contract with the Eredivisie high-flyers expires in June, joined Twente in 2003/04 from Hannover 96. He has struck 111 goals in 215 league games and earlier this term overtook Jan Jeuring (103) as the club's all-time leading scorer. "For now I remain totally committed, totally focused on Twente and will do whatever I can to help them win the league and cup," said Nkufo.
