The Dragons lost Fucile to a 52nd-minute red card after Bruno Alves had given them a 42nd-minute lead, but although Luisão then levelled soon after, goals from Ernesto Farías and Fernando Belluschi gave the hosts victory. Benfica now need a draw at home against Rio Ave FC next Sunday to be crowned, with SC Braga three points back – and boasting the head-to-head advantage – after beating FC Paços de Ferreira 1-0.
