SC Braga and coach Leonardo Jardim have parted company by mutual consent less than 12 months after the 37-year-old was appointed.
Jardim signed a three-year contract when he succeeded Domingos Paciência last June but has left after just one season in charge. He guided Braga to a third-placed finish in the Portuguese Liga, an achievement aided by a record-breaking 13 successive league wins at the turn of the year. Jardim also took Braga to the UEFA Europa League round of 16. They will enter Europe next season at the UEFA Champions League play-off stage.
"Braga praises the work and thanks the great professionalism of Leonardo Jardim and his entire coaching staff during the 2011/12 season," read a club statement.
