Sorin Cartu has signed an 18-month contract as the new coach of CS Otelul Galati.

Surprise dismissal
The former FC Universitatea Craiova coach has stepped in to replace Costel Orac who was surprisingly dismissed as the Romanian season went into its winter break with Otelul lying sixth in the table.
