Dinamo success keeps Romanian pot boiling

FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti have stayed in contention at the top of the Romanian table after earning a 2-0 victory against arch-rivals FC Steaua Bucureşti. The clubs' 144th meeting was settled by a Marius Alexe header (40) and an Andrei Cristea strike (82) either side of the 66th-minute dismissal of Steaua's Paweł Golański. The result leaves Steaua second in the table, a point adrift of CFR 1907 Cluj, while Dinamo are level on points with FC Rapid Bucureşti in third with just five points separating the top seven.
