Rapid claim Super Cup success

Champions FC Rapid Bucuresti claimed the Romanian Super Cup with a 1-0 win against FC Dinamo Bucuresti.
Champions FC Rapid Bucuresti claimed the Romanian Super Cup with a 1-0 victory against FRF Cup winners FC Dinamo Bucuresti.

Golden goal
In an even game of few goalscoring chances, the decisive moment came two minutes into extra time when substitute Robert Nita escaped the attentions of Dinamo defender Samuel Okunowo and placed his shot beyond goalkeeper Gregory Delwarte for the golden goal winner.

Trophy retained
In normal time, both sides had had a goal disallowed, with Dinamo's Claudiu Niculescu and Henry Makinwa of Rapid seeing efforts ruled out for offside. The victory was Rapid's third Super Cup success, and ensured they retained the trophy they had won last year against Dinamo.
