Mircea Sandu has been re-elected as president of the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) at the association's general assembly.
Long-serving administrator
The former international player, who is also a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, is starting his sixth spell at the helm of the FRF. He was elected for the first time on 9 August 1990, before being re-elected in 1994, 1998, 2001, 2005 and now 2010.
Comprehensive programme
Sandu presented a comprehensive programme for the next four years. "We have worked hard for the football family, because it is our duty to work for all our affiliated members," he said. "The first measures will concern the development of our youth football. But, of course, there are plenty of [other] projects on which we are already at work," he added.
