FC Lokomotiv Moskva have parted company with coach Yuri Krasnozhan.
After a five-hour emergency meeting on Monday, the Russian Premier League club's board of directors decided to dismiss the head coach, who turns 48 on Tuesday. The former PFC Spartak Nalchik boss was only appointed in December, when he succeeded Yuri Semin on a two-year contract.
After 11 games in the Premier-Liga this season, the Railway Men are fifth, one point behind city rivals and leaders PFC CSKA Moskva. They lost their unbeaten home record on 27 May, as FC Anzhi Makhachkala triumphed 2-1 in the capital. Lokomotiv finished fifth last term and as a result will enter the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League in the third qualifying round.
