Terek call time on Gullit after Amkar defeat

Former AC Milan and Netherlands forward Ruud Gullit has been dismissed as coach of FC Terek Grozny after a disappointing start to his first spell in Russian football.

Ruud Gullit has been dismissed as coach of FC Terek Grozny in the wake of a 1-0 Russian Premier League defeat at FC Amkar Perm.

Sergei Omelyanchuk's last-minute own goal heralded the end of the 48-year-old's brief spell in charge of the side from Chechnya, with his side 14th in the 16-team table after collecting 12 points from 13 league games. The former AC Milan and Netherlands forward coached Chelsea FC, Newcastle United FC and Feyenoord before joining Terek in January.
