FK Vojvodina have marked their centenary by winning the Serbian Cup for the first time with a 2-0 defeat of FK Jagodina.
Vojvodina, who have lost four cup finals since 2007, were beaten 1-0 by Jagodina for that club's maiden trophy 12 months ago but took revenge at Belgrade's FK Partizan stadium. That adds to Vojvodina’s Yugoslavian titles of 1966 and 1989.
Midfielder Enver Alivodić put the Novi Sad club ahead on 41 minutes with a precise shot to Andjelko Djuričić's left. Early in the second half defender Srdjan Babić headed in another and when Aleksandar Pešić missed a penalty five minutes later for Jagodina, the die was cast. Vojvodina go into the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round but Jagodina, third in the table 19 points behind title challengers FK Crvena zvezda and Partizan, could yet join them in Europe.
