• An economics graduate, Tomislav Karadžić was a businessman in the northern city of Subotica, and was twice been president of FK Spartak Subotica – now FK Spartak Zlatibor Voda – and president of the local football association in Vojvodina for 15 years, automatically becoming a vice-president of the Yugoslavia Football Association (FSJ) and the Football Association of Serbia and Montenegro (FSSCG).
• FSSCG president from 2005 until 2006, he took charge at the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) in July 2008 following a spell as president of FK Partizan, who won a domestic double under his leadership.
• The building of 85 mini-pitches and a new sports centre for the FSS have been key priorities under Karadžić, who said: "The sports centre was our top target for the best part of 20 years. Finally, we finished it and we can be proud. Now, Serbian kids have a centre of footballing excellence and they can live, work and learn there."
