NK Maribor defeated NK Celje in the Slovenian Cup final for the second successive season, completing their fourth double thanks to Agim Ibraimi's first-half goal in Koper.
Victorious on penalties 12 months ago, the Slovene First League champions made the breakthrough when Macedonian international Ibraimi turned in Goran Cvijanović's cross. Celje had started the brighter, threatening twice, most notably in the 11th minute through Miha Zajc's free-kick.
Maribor coach Darko Milanič said: "It was a very challenging game. Celje's aggressive play meant we had problems with our organisation. We scored after brilliant combination play between Cvijanović and Ibraimi, but Celje had two big chances in the first half."
The triumph is Maribor's eighth in 22 editions of the domestic cup competition, four more than any other club.
