Malmö FF coach Rikard Norling has announced that he is to leave the club on 30 November after leading them to their 17th Swedish title.
The 42-year-old, who replaced Roland Nilsson as Malmö coach in 2011, said: "I want to stress that I've had a fantastic time here, getting to play in the group stage of the [2011/12] Europa League, winning the Swedish title and Super Cup. It feels tremendous to have achieved all this with a club as fine as Malmö FF.
"I understand if some people feel disappointed. It is not my wish to leave any bad feelings behind me. Instead, I want to thank everyone for this time. It's been an incredible journey which I will always remember fondly."
Malmö managing director Per Nilsson admitted that Norling's decision had come as a shock. "This came completely out of the blue," he said. "We were notified yesterday. We have had a fantastic year together and were looking forward to the next one."
