Yıldırım Demirören was elected as the 41st president of the Turkish Football Association (TFF) at its extraordinary congress in Ankara on Monday.
"We will sail this ship with the support of the football family, and will consult on whatever decisions we take," announced the 47-year-old. Demirören was the only candidate in the election, and has left his role as president of Beşiktaş JK, where he was in charge for the last eight years, having also served as a board member, vice-president and director of football with the Istanbul club.
