Goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson has signed a three-year contract with promoted Turkish side Kasımpaşa AŞ after playing at UEFA EURO 2012 with Sweden.
Capped 96 times, the 30-year-old is the first overseas signing this season for Kasımpaşa, whose summer newcomers also include goalkeeper İlker Avcıbay from Manisaspor, midfielder Kerem Şeras from Antalyaspor, defender Elyasa Süme from Gaziantepspor, right-back Abdurrahman Dereli from Orduspor and left-back Volkan Yaman from Eskişehirspor.
Isaksson started his career at Trelleborgs FF in 1999, then spent time at Juventus before winning two league titles and a Swedish Cup at Djurgårdens IF, who he left for Stade Rennais FC in July 2004. He joined Manchester City FC after featuring for Sweden at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and moved on to PSV Eindhoven after UEFA EURO 2008, making 123 league appearances.
