Beşiktaş JK have signed Turkish internationals Tolga Zengin and Serdar Kurtuluş on three-year deals, bringing in the duo for a combined fee of around €4.5m from Trabzonspor AŞ and Gaziantepspor respectively.
Goalkeeper Tolga, 29, came through the youth ranks at Black Sea side Trabzonspor, making 110 Süper Lig outings since breaking into the first team in 2005/06. Capped five times by Turkey, he reached a pinnacle of sorts in 2011/12, playing in the UEFA Champions League and racking up 40 top-flight appearances. However, he was used just five times in the league in 2012/13 due to injuries and the impressive form of 25-year-old Onur Kıvrak. His contract includes a 12-month extension option.
Right-back Serdar, meanwhile, rejoins the club he represented from 2006–09, when he featured in 58 Süper Lig games and won the 2008/09 title. The 26-year-old is a Bursaspor youth product and returned to his best form after a move to Gaziantepspor, posting 113 league outings for the south-east side. Following his debut in 2007, he was recalled to the national team in 2013 after a long absence and now has six caps.
