Tough time
The leaders were given a tough time by their struggling hosts. However Vassilis Lakis scored the crucial goal after 32 minutes to secure a 1-0 victory for AEK, who moved clear of Olympiakos Piraeus FC after the latter's 2-2 draw with Panathinaikos FC on Saturday.

Nikos Kizeridis's free-kick after 43 minutes gave the visitors the advantage, but goalkeeper Fanis Kateryiannakis had to save an 83rd-minute penalty from Panayiotis Velentzas after Akratitos had defender Kostas Pozapalidis sent off.

Bassinas own goal
