Czech Republic round-up: Zizkov go second

FK Viktoria Zizkov climbed up to second in the 1. liga table on Sunday with a 1-0 home win over fifth-placed FC Baník Ostrava.

Bohemians win
Roman Janousek scored the only goal of the game in the 68th minute after a scramble in the area. CU Bohemians Praha remain a point further back after they secured a 1-0 victory away to the bottom club, SFC Opava, thanks to a Michael Petrus goal on the stroke of half-time.

Nezmar and Stajner score
FC Slovan Liberec secured a handsome 4-1 home win against 1. FC Synot to remain four points behind Bohemians in fourth. Jan Nezmar opened the scoring for Slovan after ten minutes and although Petr Kopacka equalised for the visitors 20 minutes later, the home side went into the break in front as Jirí Stajner struck a minute before half-time. Nezmar grabbed his second to make it 3-1 after 57 minutes and Stajner also doubled his tally three minutes later to round off a comfortable 4-1 win.

Brno climb seventh
FC Brno secured a 2-1 away win against FC Príbram to climb to seventh. Goals from Libor Dosek and Zdenek Valnoha after 13 and 57 minutes put the visitors into a winning position. Although the home side pulled back a goal through Jirí Rychlík with 20 minutes remaining, Brno held on for the win.

Late equaliser
SK Hradec Králové drew 2-2 with FK Jablonec 97 to leave both teams in mid-table. Jirí Masek opened the scoring for the visitors after ten minutes but Hradec equalised ten minutes later through Miroslav Zemanek. On 55 minutes the home side then went 2-1 in front through Rudolf Skacel but were denied all three points by a late Michal Seman equaliser.

Teplice's away success
FK Teplice moved up to eleventh after beating SK Sigma Olomouc 2-0, with Stepan Vachousek and Radek Divecky scoring second-half goals for the visitors.
