Leverkusen land Barnetta

FC St. Gallen midfield player Tranquillo Barnetta has agreed to join Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the summer.

FC St. Gallen midfield player Tranquillo Barnetta has agreed to join Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the summer on a three-year contract.

Three-year deal
The 18-year-old Swiss Under-21 international will join the Bundesliga outfit on a free transfer. Leverkusen have also included an option in the contract to extend it. St. Gallen will be compensated for their investment in developing the player.

Schoof leaves
Meanwhile, Sebastian Schoof has left Leverkusen and joined northern regional league outfit SC Rot-Weiss Essen.
