Real Zaragoza have parted company with coach Paco Flores and replaced him with Víctor Muñoz.

Final straw
Flores has only been in charge at Zaragoza for 18 months. He guided them to promotion to the Primera División in his first season but a poor run of results has seen Zaragoza drop into the relegation places. The final straw for the club's board came with yesterday's 4-1 defeat by RC Deportivo La Coruña.

Tough start
The 46-year-old Muñoz will have to get to work quickly as his new team face a Copa del Rey quarter-final first leg away to FC Barcelona on Thursday. Muñoz, 46, was born in Zaragoza and has previously coached RCD Mallorca, CD Logroñés, UE Lleida and Villarreal CF.
