Getafe CF have begun gearing up for only their second European campaign after securing the services of Borja Fernández and Iván Marcano.
Midfielder Borja, 29, has joined on a four-year contract from relegated side Real Valladolid CF, marking a return to the captial having begun his career at Real Madrid CF's academy. Marcano, a centre-back, moves to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on a season-long loan deal from Villarreal CF, with Getafe retaining the option of making the 22-year-old's switch permanent next summer.
UEFA Cup quarter-finalists in 2007/08, the Azulones will attempt to reach next season's UEFA Europa League group stage after finishing sixth in the Liga.
