Panathinaikos put faith in Olisadebe

Polish international Emmanuel Olisadebe has signed a new four-year contract with Panathinaikos FC.

Polish international striker Emmanuel Olisadebe has signed a new contract with Panathinaikos FC and will stay with the Hellenic National League leaders until June 2008.

'Happy to stay'
"I am really happy that I will stay with Panathinaikos for the next four years," said the 25-year-old forward. "I would especially like to thank the club for trusting in me and supporting me through the tough period of my injury."

Lengthy lay-off
Olisadebe returned to action in February after being sidelined for five months by an kneecap injury that required an operation. Panathinaikos took over from Olympiacos CFP at the top of the Greek table on Sunday, and reached the Greek Cup semi-finals tonight.
